Kazipet is a junction which is located 134 km from Hyderabad city,It is a urban area with lot of schools and hospitals,in the past people use to come to kazipet to study there, three major catholic missionary schools (St. Gabriels, Fatima Girls High School, St. Ann's High School).  India's best engineering institutes, the National Institute of Technology (also known as Warangal-NIT previously called REC Regional Engineering College), is located in Kazipet,its the top NIT of times in India, Nit hosts various cultural activities and fests bringing Light in Kazipet . The Kakatiya University ,The Kakatiya Medical College is attached to the MGM Government Hospital. It is the third largest medical college in the state Andhra Pradesh are also located here.

     kazipet  is also  famous for diesel locomotive shed.
These area is having a unique identity in celebrating Vinayaka chaviti and Dussera festivals in kazipet.
History of its Name
Kazipet got its name from a Sufi saintof great eminence by name Syed Afzal Shah Biyabani who was a Kazi during the British regime. His shrine at kazipet is visited by thousands the year round by people of all faiths. He was a direct descendent of Harath Ali ( AS) .karamAllah Wajhu .

[edit]Railway Junction Kazipet is famous for being a major railway junction and locomotive (largely diesel) maintenance division in Andhra Pradesh. This can be seen in the fact that many of the residents are employees of Indian Railways. Kazipet Railway station has a history of more than 100 years. It was started in early 1900s by Nizam Government. It is the hub connecting North and South, East and West India with more than 60 daily trains passing through.  ), it also connects 3 different routes delhi route through MadhyaPradesh,Hyderabad,Chennai route via VijayawadaThe railway station has three platforms. Platforms 2 and 3 are generally for trains towards Hyderabad. Platform 1 is generally used for trains which come from Hyderabad. Kazipet is one of the busiest stations in the South Central Railway. Kazipet is one of the stations(like Secunderabad, Kachiguda, Nampally, Begumpet, started during Nizam rule.

Now people feel that Kazipet Station Deserves more History in Indian Railway History
So they are demanding Kazipet Railway Station to have International Recognition
